New Honda City Modulo in attendance at 2017 Bangkok Motor Show

The kitted-up new Honda City Modulo is enjoying the pride of place at the automaker’s 2017 Bangkok International Motor Show’s stall. Based on the recently updated version, the Modulo variant, as expected, is embellished with visual add-ons.

The car features front and rear bumper extension, Modulo-branded side skirts, a loud bootlid-mounted spoiler, chrome finished door handle wells, and of course, Modulo-branded alloy wheels. The black interior has been left pretty much untouched.

Launched in India last month, Honda City facelift features styling revisions that are aimed at making it sportier. The low-slung front fascia hosts LED infused headlamps, and larger radiator grille with chrome underlining and reprofiled bumper.

While nothing much has been changed in profile save for the new alloy wheel design, the rear fascia receives LED taillight clusters. On the inside, the updated sedan comes with new 17.7 cm capacitive touchscreen infotainment system with reverse camera. The front and rear seats have been improved for better comfort.

Under the skin, 2017 Honda City retains the hardware without any noticeable change. India-spec version continues to be powered by 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine producing 119 PS and 145 Nm of torque and 1.5-litre i-DTEC that is tuned to dish out 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque. The former comes with 5-speed MT or CVT options while the latter is available only with a 6-speed MT.

New Honda City starts at INR 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The standard City was also on display. Have a look at the images below.
