Caitlin Clark made her much-awaited Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) debut on Friday (May 3). She played in the WNBA preseason game for the Indiana Fever before a 7000-strong College Park Center in Arlington, Texas against the Dallas Wings. This was the Iowa star's first game after the NCAA Women's Championship a few weeks ago and she did not disappoint.

The preseason game, however, was won by the Dallas Wings after Arike Ogunbowale's go-ahead 3P with three seconds remaining on the clock. The shot by Ogunbowale eventually proved good as the Wings beat Fever 79-76.

Nonetheless, the crowd were completely behind Clark throughout the game. She got a voracious roar from them during her maiden introduction.

Clark got to business quickly, sinking a three inside the first minute from the right side of the arc and took Fever to a 5-2 lead. Her second three-pointer took Fever's lead to 14-3 minutes later. For her final three of the first quarter, Clark put down Wings' Jacy Sheldon, her former Big Ten rival from Ohio State, to get open and then pull up from the arc.

By the time she was back on the bench in the first 10 minutes, she had scored 11 of Fever's 19 points in a four-point lead but the Wings finished the quarter with 26-23 lead. In the next quarter, Fever bounced back with 25-14 before Wings won the third quarter 20-14.

In the final 10 minutes, both the team went neck-to-neck before the Wings went ahead on Ogunbowale's three-pointer and won the game. Clark scored a game-high 21 points to go with three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. The NCAA star also netted five out her 13 3Ps while going 6 off 15 from the floor.

Clark has given the indication of what will be in her first game only and fans across the world would be eagerly waiting for her to perform in the regular season.
