Suzuki GSX-R150 Race-spec showcased at 2017 Bangkok Motor Show – LIVE

?Suzuki GSX-R150 which takes the place of Gixxer SF in other Southeast Asian markets is being showcased at the ongoing 2017 Bangkok International Motor Show along with its race-prepped edition. The fully faired 150 cc motorcycle features noticeably different styling compared to its Indian counterpart.

Design is inspired by the latest high displacement GSX-R’s as evident from the edgier headlamp cluster and more expressive fairing panels. The disparity doesn’t stop there. Suzuki GSX-R150 also sports an additional cladding for fuel tank, more aggressive tailpiece with split seats and LED taillights, upward swooping exhaust canister, updated digital dashboard, and bolder choice of colors.

The powertrain too is different from the one that is found on the Indian Gixxer SF. The single-cylinder unit displaces 147.3 cc and is fed by an electronic fuel injection system. Transmission is a 6-speed unit. GSX-R150 is good for 18.2 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 13.8 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm.

The motorcycle is suspended by telescopic front fork and single rear shock (similar setup as Gixxer SF). Single petal discs are either end take care of braking duties. Suzuki GSX-R150 tips the scales at 126 kg (dry weight) which gives it an impressive power-to-weight ratio.
