Liberty Defense Completes Third Party Testing with National Safe Skies Alliance for Aviation Security

/EIN News/ -- WILMINGTON, Mass., May 06, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Liberty Defense Holdings Ltd. (“Liberty” or the “Company”) (TSXV: SCAN, OTCQB: LDDFF, FSE: E30), a leading technology provider of Artificial Intelligence (AI) based next generation detection solutions to protect secure locations against prohibited weapons and other threats, is pleased to announce that the HEXWAVE™ recently completed operational test and evaluation at a major Category X airport in the US.

Liberty’s HEXWAVE product, a next generation, walkthrough, contactless threat detection system for concealed metallic and non-metallic objects, uses AI to provide automated decisions to security operators to process people at speed. The HEXWAVE is deployed and screening patrons at US and International airports, courthouses, correctional facilities, national laboratories, and universities.

National Safe Skies Alliance (Safe Skies), an independent third-party, non-profit organization funded by the Federal Aviation Administration, conducts thorough testing of security systems’ detection capabilities, reliability, and maintainability under active airport operational and environmental conditions. Safe Skies performs its evaluations under an ISO 9001:2015-approved Quality Management System.

Under the Airport Security System Integrated Support Testing (ASSIST) program, Safe Skies uses its expertise in airport security technologies to deliver product research services, pre-operational evaluations, and airport assessments which are valued resources for commercial service airports seeking objective and practical support to enhance their security operations

"As we continue to improve HEXWAVE’s performance through advanced AI and ongoing software enhancements, it was essential to partner once again with Safe Skies for independent assessment," said Bill Frain, CEO of Liberty Defense. "Our focus remains on expanding HEXWAVE deployments across U.S. airports to help meet TSA’s screening mandate for aviation workers, which includes detecting both metallic and non-metallic threats. With successful recent installations across the United States we are strongly positioned to meet these screening requirements effectively and efficiently. Additionally, HEXWAVE’s mobility allows airports to quickly reposition the system across various employee access points, offering greater flexibility while reducing capital expenditures."
